Following a study showing high negative predictive values (>99%) of benign-appearing endometrial cells (nEMCs) in Pap tests for women in their 40s,  an educational comment recommending routine screening for asymptomatic premenopausal women (APW) was added to reports. This study assesses the impact of this comment on clinical practice.
