Oman is an arid country highly dependent on rainfall for its fresh water supply and groundwater
recharge.The suggested strategy not only calls for local community
participation in water management programs, but active involvement in devising and
implementing these policies.Sea water intrusion, increased salinity, depletion of
aquifers are all being experienced.
