As world population grows, more people are living in dangerous areas, including near active volcanoes.The
project aims to increase study of these particular volcanoes--their historical timeline for activity, how we can better predict future activity, and, most importantly, what people can do to prepare for
an eruption.The Decade Volcano Project has named 16 of these volcanoes as particularly worthy of investigation based on their potential for destruction.
