In  total,  125  individuals  were  included  in  this  study seventy- five beta - Thalassemia patients met the inclusion .In addition, postsplenectomy beta-thalassemia   and  higher  D-dimer  levels  than  nonsplenectomized beta-thalassemia patients ( P = 0.001). criteria and 50 healthy individuals served as controls.
