Pollution
Pollution is defined as the introduction of harmful materials into the
environment.It is known that the majority of environmental pollutants are caused by human
activities such as the use of industrial machinery, power-producing stations,
combustion engines, and cars.Land pollution occurs
through the release of chemicals or the disposal of wastes, such as heavy metals,
hydrocarbons, and pesticides.Lastly, machines, vehicles, traffic noises, and
musical installations that are harmful to our hearing produce noise pollution.Pollutants are harmful
solids, liquids, or gases that reduce the quality of our environment.While the natural sources include causes such as forest fire,
volcanic erosion, dust storms, and agricultural burning.Water pollutants are
industrial wastes, oil spills, farm wastes, and pesticides.Pollution has several adverse effects on animals, plants, environment,
ecosystem and human beings.These materials are known as pollutants.
