The United Arab Emirates (UAE), located in the Arabian Desert, has transformed from a land of nomads and pearl divers into a modern, exciting nation. Today, it's known for its towering buildings, beautiful beaches, and delicious food. The old UAE differed greatly from today's modern landscape. Houses were traditionally built from mud bricks and palm fronds, with thick walls and small windows to combat the desert heat. Schools were simple, with few resources. Students learned outdoors or in traditional houses, using books, chalkboards, and oral teaching. Streets were unpaved, made of sand or dirt, with minimal traffic. Camels and donkeys were common forms of transportation, and the only sounds were nature's whispers. Shopping was done in traditional markets, filled with a vibrant atmosphere and merchants selling spices, textiles, and handicrafts.
