Caitlin Clark has broken her silence on the appointment of Stephanie White as the new head coach of the Indiana Fever, after the departure of Christie Sides.Caitlin Clark has praised Indiana Fever's new head coach Stephanie White as one of basketball's "smartest" minds, after the ex-player returned to the side following Christie Sides' sacking. The ex-Chicago Sky assistant coach left in October last year after the Fever were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Connecticut Sun - White's former team. After a successful tenure in Connecticut - which included winning WNBA Coach of the Year in 2023 - White has returned to a team she has previously coached and played for.Clark expressed her excitement during The Bird and Taurasi Show, as she said: "I'm excited."In the play-offs [last season] we didn't have that, we were a young group. Whether it's DB [DeWanna Bonner] or Natasha Howard, whoever it is, I think having that experience is going to be really good for us and that leadership in the locker room."Despite her impressive track record, the former Iowa Hawkeyes standout has remained coy about her former coach since Sides parted ways with the Fever."We've added a lot more experience," Clark said.
