Asset Declaration : Asset declaration is a procedure introduced in Algeria following its ratification of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (2003) and the enactment of Law 06-01 on the Prevention and Fight Against Corruption.Article 36 of this law stipulates that any public employee who is legally required to declare their assets but fails to do so within two months of being legally reminded, or submits an incomplete, incorrect, or false declaration, or intentionally provides false statements, will be subject to imprisonment for six months to five years and a fine ranging from 50,000 to 500,000 DZD.
