Approaches to Contemporary
Translation Theory
There are six main approaches within 
contemporary translation theory: sociolinguistic, 
communicative, hermeneutic, linguistic, literary and 
semiotic.This approach adopts the notion 
that our own sociocultural background is present in 
everything we translate.
