o The Saxons, Angles and Jutes were from the north-western part of
Europe, i.e., from those parts of Europe which are known now as
Sweden, Denmark, and northern Germany. o However, around 449 A.D., groups of barbaric invaders (the Saxons,
Angles and Jutes) started pouring into the south and east of England.o By 450 A.D., the Saxons, Angles and Jutes firmly established
themselves in the southern and eastern parts of England.o The Celts withdrew into Wales in the west and the Scottish highland
in the north.
