Determining the type of colon cancer depends on the type of mutations that target the
various genes that lead to the emergence of three types of colon cancer [15].The first type is
sporadic, as it is diagnosed in about 70% of colon cancer patients and it

is caused by mutations in the tumor suppressor genes and tumor genes and affects
people who do not have a genetic mutation or a family history of having this disease [16].
