Myth Myths are believed to have been created by primitive peoples to answer questions about natural phenomenon.Religion "A religion is a unified system of beliefs and practices relative to sacred things, that is to say, things set apart and forbidden - beliefs and practices which unite into one single moral community called a Church, all those who adhere to them."It is worth noting that we perceive myths as fictional; however, to the people they were as true as the sun rises.The founding peoples of Western civilisation were the Greeks.It can be concluded that myths are fictional stories that communicate complex issues beyond the understanding of the people who wrote them.More, primitive peoples needed to pass on wisdom to the following generations.As such, they wrote stories with exaggerated events that carry morals upon which behaviour was supposed to be derived from.They needed to find answers to troubling issues, such as human nature, good and evil, and how to behave in the presence of guests and strangers.As a result, they produced stories that answer the questions they had.They could not understand, for instance, how the world was created and to what end.
