To ascertain the validity of the findings, I employed several techniques. First, as I mentioned in the methodology chapter, I administered a questionnaire. Through it, I learned that people who live in the neighborhoods I studied—like Al-Amerat—experience traffic congestion on their way to work and are generally uneasy there. They typically don't have services in their area, which is another factor. My research on Bausher revealed that, among other things, the two areas differed in terms of service accessibility and ease of employment.
Government organizations in charge of infrastructure, development, and urban planning normally have the right to undertake surveys in the context of the Muscat urban expansion project, especially in districts like Bawshar and Al-Amerat. These organizations could consist of:
1- Municipality:
An important part of urban development and planning is the role played by the municipality of Muscat and its local branches in Bawshar and Al-Amerat. It frequently has the power to carry out surveys to collect information on community preferences, land use, infrastructure requirements, and demography.
2- Ministry of Housing: The Ministry of Housing oversees land distribution, housing rules, and urban development plans in Oman. Surveys may be carried out to find out how affordable, how desirable, and how much demand there is for housing among the people living in developing areas like Bawshar and Al-Amerat
3- Ministry of Transport and Communications: 3. The Ministry of Transport and Communications is in charge of transportation infrastructure and mobility planning in Muscat and the surrounding territories. It might survey the public to gather data on commuter patterns, favored forms of transportation, and infrastructure needs in order to inform plans for urban expansion.
