These examples should be compared with the following, where there does not seem to be الشھر الاول من السنة, اول شھر :as premodifier and as postmodifier اول much difference between the first chapter in' الفصل الاول من الكتاب, اول فصل من الكتاب ;'the first month of the year' من السنة the book'. As a title, however, the postmodifying construction is used الفصل الاول = Chapter One.
