Tenali suspected that they were the same thieves who were stealing from the people of the village and that they had come to rob him, so he thought of a plan to deceive them. The water flowed through the small ditches dug by Tenali and his son and flowed into the garden. The plan was to make them hear that he and his son would hide his jewels in a trunk and throw it into the well. When the sun rose, they were able to take the trunk, but surprisingly, that the guards was waiting to arrest them.As planned, the three men went to take out the trunk, but it was difficult to take it out while there was water in the well, so they filled the bucket with water and dumped the water next to the well.
