The first week of SEP1, I shadowed with school mentor inside the school every day.I observed majority of students were actively engaged with the exception of one student who I will mention her as (A).I observed a respect-based relationship between teachers and students that paved the way to a safe learning environment.On the fourth day, I asked school mentor to go with her to seventh grade for attends reading lesson.

The first week of SEP1, I shadowed with school mentor inside the school every day. I observed a respect-based relationship between teachers and students that paved the way to a safe learning environment. On the fourth day, I asked school mentor to go with her to seventh grade for attends reading lesson. I sat with students for a few minutes at the beginning of class in order to introduce myself. During this lesson, I observed an incident that demonstrates role of teacher in building relationship with her students. I observed how teacher managed the classroom while I sat in the final seat in the right corner. Before asking questions regarding the lesson, teacher started by outlining the learning objectives. I observed majority of students were actively engaged with the exception of one student who I will mention her as (A). She appeared distracted and uninterested; the teacher recognized this and made the decision to take a positive approach to the situation.
