the external structures of the larynx:

Cartilages

1. 
   Thyroid cartilage: ودا اضخم cartilage, forms the Adam's apple.


2. 
   Cricoid cartilage: Ring-shaped, بكون أسفل ل the thyroid cartilage.


3. 
   Arytenoid cartilages: Two small cartilages, بيحصل ليهم articulation with the cricoid.


4. 
   Corniculate cartilages: Small, conical cartilages atop arytenoid cartilages.


5. 
   Cuneiform cartilages: Small, rod-shaped cartilages within arytenoid cartilages.

Ligaments

1. 
   Thyroid ligaments: بيربطt thyroid cartilage to cricoid cartilage.


2. 
   Cricothyroid ligament: Connects cricoid cartilage to thyroid cartilage.


3. 
   Arytenoid ligaments: Connect arytenoid cartilages to cricoid cartilage.

Muscles

1. 
   Cricothyroid muscle: Regulates pitch.


2. 
   Thyrohyoid muscle: Elevates larynx.


3. 
   Sternothyroid muscle: Depresses larynx.


4. 
   Thyroarytenoid muscle: Relaxes vocal cords.

Other Structures

1. 
   Epiglottis: Flap-like structure, بيفصل larynx from esophagus.

   Hyoid bone: U-shaped bone above larynx.


3. 
   Laryngeal prominence: Adam's apple.

Blood Supply

1. Superior laryngeal artery (branch of superior thyroid artery).


2. Inferior laryngeal artery (branch of inferior thyroid artery).

Innervation

1. Superior laryngeal nerve (branch of vagus nerve, CN X).


2. Recurrent laryngeal nerve (branch of vagus nerve, CN X).
