This research sought to follow the presence of the elements of nature in the novel A Pillow of Grass by Japanese novelist Natsumi Soseki, focusing on the strategies of their handling and the purpose of their employment, which was considered a new openness of literature to its surroundings and environment, and an awareness of it in light of the threat to it, so that the novel becomes a front to address the practices that would harm the ecosystem by raising awareness of the role and value of the environment and the need to preserve it through textual possibilities that accompanied the narrative process and merged with the various situations to which his central character was exposed in the novel, so this research was based on the following forms: How are the manifestations of environmental literature manifested in the novel A Pillow of Grass, and what are the connotations it carries in the various places where it appears?
