1- Wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) for protection against infectious materials and microbes e.g., gloves, goggles, overhead, mask, and lab coat or apron. 2- Do not eat or drink inside the lab. 3- Never pipette by mouth, but use the micropipette. 4- Read the instructions of any instrument or tool before using. 5- Read the procedures before the beginning of the experiment. 3 6- Avoid touching objects (e.g., pencils, cell phones, door handles) while wearing gloves. 7- All cultures should be handled as potentially pathogenic. 8- Report any breakages or accidents to the lab supervisor 9- After using the microscope, clean the lenses, remove the slide and traces of cider oil. 10- Don’t discard the damaged materials and wastes to the sinks. 11- Wash your hands with soap and water before leaving the laboratory. 12- Turn off all devices, gas and water sources before leaving the laboratory. 4 In case of spills- Wear the personal protective equipment.- Soak a paper towel or cotton piece in suitable disinfectant.- Place the paper towel over the spilled material.- After 15 minutes, lift the paper towel and place it in the basket. In case of splashes- Use soap and hot water to remove stains and smudges from the skin (hands).- Used different disinfectants to remove stains and smudges from clothing after immersion long enough
