Services:
• ASCs provide surgical procedures that do not require inpatient hospitalization.
• Cataract removal, colonoscopy, removal of skin lesions, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and carpal tunnel release are examples of procedures that are typically performed on an ambulatory basis.
Care providers:
• Care providers in this setting are generally limited to Physicians, Nurses,
General medical office personnel, Surgical technicians, and
Anesthesiologists.
