-Glomerulus: A network of capillaries surrounded by Bowman's capsule. This is where filtration begins, leading to the formation of urine.
-Proximal Convoluted Tubule (PCT): This section is responsible for reabsorbing most of the filtrate. The cells here have microvilli, creating a "brush border" that increases the surface area for reabsorption.
-Distal Convoluted Tubule (DCT): After the loop of Henle, this segment further processes the filtrate, adjusting electrolyte levels. It lacks the brush border of the PCT.
