He hid behind a large rock and what he saw next was shocking. Near the tree there was a large and hairy monster with grey scaly skin and bloodshot eyes. It held a poor wailing goat and munched upon it noisily.

Hamad could hear crunching of bones.

Then it stopped-

Hamad cautiously looked over the rock. Now all he saw was the tree. He could feel his heart thumping against his ribs.Without looking back, he ran home. His grandma was waiting for him.

She was shocked to see that he was that worried, "Hamad! Are you all right? Why are you shaking?" Hamad described what he had just seen.

He could see grandma was worried too.The next morning Hamad and grandma told villagers what he witnessed, but all their efforts went in vain as no one believed them.

"The boy must have been dreaming!" they said.

"No, it's true! Believe us!""We don't have time to hear your foolish stories, if he tells this again and tries to frighten the villagers we will have to throw you out of the village". The Mayor stepped in with his grey face and said." if what Hamad is saying is true we should cut this tree"

"No! No! It is not the tree's fault. It is something else" Hamad yelled.

"What Hamad? Are you trying to change your story now?" The Mayor asked in a sneaky tone. Hamad shook his head and stayed quiet. He knew the Mayor is trying to hide something and its time for him and his team to reveal it.
