Project Objectives

• Design and build an optimal sample transfer mechanism.
• Reduce sample changeover time from 45 to 15 minutes.
• Maintain and improve manipulation precision.
• Ensure compliance with current ultra-high vacuum standards.
• \tDevelop a flexible system to accommodate various sample geometries.
Technical Approach

• Perform a thorough analysis of current sample transfer processes.
• Create CAD models to help improve sample holders and transfer mechanisms.

• Use advanced sealing technologies to maintain vacuum integrity.

• Implement quick-lock mechanisms to accelerate sample exchange.

• Design modular sample holders that can support a variety of experimental configurations.

Implementation Strategy:
• Phase 1: Detailed design and simulation
• Phase 2: Prototyping and testing
• Phase 3: Vacuum chamber integration and performance evaluation.
• Phase 4: Final optimization and documentation.
