Clownfish and sea anemones engage in a mutually beneficial relationship. The clownfish, protected by a coating that shields them from the anemone’s stinging tentacles, find refuge among them, gaining safety from predators and access to food scraps. In return, the anemone benefits by having the clownfish attract potential predators (who are then stung and consumed), clean up food debris and dead tentacles, and deter threats.
