1- when visitor came to see sherlock holmes in Baker street.Mr. Holmes said are you afraid of something?Then mr Holmes and watson walked to the hall by the road, after 100 meters they saw a bicycle on the road ,it came past them very quickly.the rider Mr James Wilder, the Duke's secretary.then a man on a horse rode quickly out of the staples but not james wilder because there hi is at the door.Ten minutes later another man came into the Inn, and Holmes walked quietly to the bicycle , He found that the tire was a Dunlop tyre.then mr holmes and mr Watson  walked back to the school but holmes went out again to Mackleton we think.This tyre is Dunlop ,but Heidegger's bicycle had Palmer tyres.6-then,Sherlock and watson were in the Duke's office at Holdrenesse Hall mr wilder came to speak to their.Holmes looked at the duke ,he said  You are offering,I hear, five thousand pounds for news of your son.Sherlock told him that he couldn't come because he had two important cases.Then the visitor told him this case is important too!And he told him about the kidnapping of son of the Duke Holderness three days ago.They have homes in London, Lancashire and Wales.the Duke is one of the greatest and ruchest men in the country.Dr.Huxtable told Sherlock that the Duke is offering five thousand pounds to news for his son, and another thousand pounds for the name of his kidnapper.Holmes said that is a most interesting offer.3-It was dark when they arrived at Dr Huxtable's famous school in the northern hills.The Duke and Mr wilder , his secretary, were there .The Government Minister was a tall man ,with a great beard .Mr wilder was small .The Duke is surprised,he doesn't want people to know about this.Then the Duke asked Sherlock Holmes to come and stay at Holderness Hall.4-Then Mr Holmes and Watson went to Lower Gill Moor.The man was happy to do it. James opened the letter and put in a note from him.That evening he cycled across the moor and met Arthur in Ragged Shaw.Holmes looked in the man's pockets and found a train ticket from Mackleton, in the north of England.Sherlock went to get one of his books and began to read about the Duke of Holderness.The Duke's wife is named Edith and she is the daughter of Lord Grey.2- Dr. Huxtable began to tell him his story.Dr Huxtable has a priory school near Makleton- is the best school for young boys in England.Then there is the German teacher ,Heidegger,  was missing too .His room isn't far from Arther's room.Dr. Huxtable said to Holmes , Because of the Duke .He doesn't like people talking about his unhappy family life.Holmes said to Dr. Huxtable: "Did the boy get the letters from France? He said,No,I never saw any. Did someone take the boy away, or did he go freely?- because he had a letter from France perhaps. Dr.Huxtable said ,I don't Know . Mr. Holmes said, "Were father and son very friendly?"Mr. James Wilder, the Duke's secretary, tells me that the boy is more friendly with his mother.Then Mr. Holmes with Dr.Huxtable went to the north.perhaps they can find some answers to this mystery .Mr wilder angrily and he said the duke doesn't post letters!One of the gardeners found a blue hat , in Ragged Shaw.They followed the Dunlop track back nearly to Ragged Shaw.Holmes concluded two things: first,the boy left freely.He was dressed,he did not leave suddenly, he wanted to go - perhaps with someone, perhaps not .Second, the German teacher left without his socks and without his shirt, so he left very suddenly.They think because the boy has a bicycle , and Heidegger dise because someone hits him very hard on the head ,a boy can't do that , so there was someone with the boy .After that ,they walked down to the road,and along to the Green Man Inn.He said James is leaving me and going to Australia next week.then Holmes took the cheque for twelve thousand pounds from the table, and then he put it carefully in his pocket.His name is Dr. Thorneycroft Huxtable .sherlock holmes ran to get some water for him .Then he asked Sherlock to come back with him to Mackleton by the next train.Sherlock went with Dr. Huxtable, and said to him, Tell me everything, and why did you come to ask for my help three days later?Hidegger went down the Ivy - we know this because we found his footprints on the ground under the window .He's a good teacher but the boys don't like him because he's not very friendly.Holmes took out a little notebook, and began to write things down .Holmes said to Dr Huxtable, how can I find marks in the Ivy or on the ground after three days ?Dr. Huxtable told Mr. Holmes that the boy did not take German lessons, so he did not know the German teacher well.Mr holmes said ,Does the boy have a bicycle?Dr Huxtable said No and no bicycle is missing either.So we didn't know if the German teacher was riding his bicycle at night, with the boy on his back?We don't know.Dr. Huxtable said I know the Duke's handwriting , and the Duke told me he wrote a letter to his son.The boy took it with him because it's not in his room .Mr.Then mr holmes moved to some small bushes with yellow flowers on them .There was blood and a body behind the bushes and a bicycle next to it.He had shoes on , but no socks, and they saw a night-shirt under his open coat.Heidgger knows that he needs his bicycle .why?Mr. Holmes offered to use his bicycle to go to the Duke.Mr. Holmes said the Duke's son is in Liverpool.Mr. Hayes's face went white ,then red.Mr Hayes worked for the Duke once , but he wasn't good to him .Then Holmes thought, There are a lot of cow tracks but no cows?The Duke asked holmes ,And the name of the Kidnapper?The duke's face is white and angry.The duke took out a pen, opend his cheque book,and began to write.Then he said ,Nobody needs to know about this-this little family mystery.Look here is my cheque for twelve thousand pounds.He has just some money.And mr wilder he wants to be the duke of Holdernesse one day.The duke was afraid for Arthur ,and that's why he sent him to Dr Huxtable's school .James kidnaps Arthur.Hayes was there with to horses ,and they rod across the moor.But the germane teacher followed them, and hayes killed him .Hayes then took Arthur to the Green Man.the duke said to holmes ,I knew nothing about this until the murder.So james went down to the Green Man .later, The duke went and saw Arthur,he left him there with Hayes because he couldn't say anything to the police just then.He came into the room , walked to noe of the big chairs, and suddenly fell into it. He sat there with his eyes closed , looking white and ill.After tow minute the man began to move and his eyes opened .They have one son named Lord Arthur Soltyre.On the first of May, young Lord Soltaire arrived.The Duchess lives in South of France.And after tow weeks with them , he was much happier.Then , on the night of the 13th of May , he disappeared.Tow older boys sleep there.One of them never sleeps very well, and he heard and saw nothing that night .So young Arthur didn't go out through that room.And he took his bicycle with him.Hidigger came to the school a year ago.why didn't you come to me at once ?Dr. Huxtable said the boy had a letter from his father.Holmes said, How do you know?Dr Huxtable said , the duke is not a very friendly man , he's not a bad father but he is a Government Minister and has a lot of things to do .Mr. Holmes refused because he wanted to stay near to the mystery ,here at the school.Mr. Holm asked about the letter that the Duke had sent to his son before he disappeared?I put it into the postbag that day.Here is the school and here is the road and there was a policeman here he was there from midnight to six in the morning, and he saw nobody on the road .So the boy and the teacher didn't go along the road when they left .And here at the other end is white horse Inn .The doctor didn't come until the morning, and the family saw nobody on the road.So the boy and the teacher didn't go by road .Across the middle of the moor was a small river ,and the ground all around it was very wet.And they found tracks of sheep , some cow tracks and was the track of a bicycle.There's 42 different kinds of tyre.5-When they went to the Green Man, the man was unfriendly.Mr. Robin Hayes said, Are you friends of the Duke?So he doesn't like him.There was a stable there and Holmes looked at one of the horse's feet.Then came Mr. Hayes, his face red and angry.And another thousand pounds for the name of the kidnapper.The duke said true.Then The duke asked holmes , Do you have news for my son?Holmes said yes.Holmes said your son was last night at The green man inn.Holmes said you!and now give me cheque .Then Holmes said There's a dead man in this case .Then the duke said James wilder is my son .James Knew this man Hayes, because Hayes worked for the duke once.He talked about the Duchess, Arthur's mother.She waiting on the moor.James is a bad boy,but doesn't murder people.when he heard the news ,he came to the duke ,he was crying.and he said what cloud I do?The duke didn't want the world to know about this.Holmes said, First, we must bring Arthur home.He was a large man , tall , well - dressed , and important looking.He was very tired and probably hungry too.His face was now red.Then he said I forgot to drink anything this morning, that's why I felt ill.I'm better now.This school has the sons of the most important people.Three weeks ago, Mr. James, the Duke's secretary, came to see him and told him that the Duke wanted to send his son to this school.He's a nice boy .And he soon began to like school life and to make a friend.She left the Duke about three months ago.The boy loved his mother and was very unhappy when she left.Because of this , the Duke sent him to school.The way to his bedroom is through another, large room.His window was open, and there is ivy all up the wall of the house .It is easy to get out of the window and down the ivy to the ground.So we think that he went out that way.He was in his usual school, things, we think - a short  black coat and dark blue trousers .but we found nothing strange.We know ,too, that he was only in his coat, trousers and shoes ,because we found his shirt and his socks on the floor of his room.He probably never spoke to him .A woman there was ill , and the family watched the road all night waiting for the doctor.It was the German teacher.That's strange.The horses are tired.He asked them what are you doing here?The duke was very unhappy when he heard about the killing.7- when the duke was a young man , he was in love with a woman, he wanted her to be his wife,but she died.Then he must have the boy near him because of this.But a government minister cannot tell the world about a love-child like this.So ,to the world ,james is young secretary,not my son.He knows that I am his father.He hates Arthur, because he has everything.Arthur has a name, a famous father, houses, money ,everything.James has nothing.But the duke can't does that.
