Wounds can also be categorized by the type of tissue within the wound:  -The wound contains black necrotic tissue  -The wound is yellow and sloughy 
--The wound is red and granulating  - The wound is starting to display signs of the formation of new pink epithelial tissue 
The wound is green and infected
