The main contributions of the study include the proposal of the SIN fog service architecture, which utilizes moving satellites as mobile fog nodes to cater to user needs. The study introduces a potential use case in aviation, where fog nodes on LEO satellites can support real-time computing for aircraft operations. The study differentiates itself from other works by focusing on the unique challenges and requirements of providing fog services in a satellite network environment. The proposed method for the solution involves the development of the SIN fog service architecture, which includes four main entities: users, satellite nodes, the cloud, and terrestrial control stations. The results of the study demonstrate the feasibility and potential benefits of the SIN fog service architecture in providing computing, storage, and communication services to users in satellite coverage areas. Advantages of the proposed method include improved access to computing resources in remote or challenging environments, reduced latency for real-time applications, and enhanced security through the authentication protocol.
