Despite the comprehensive implementation of ES in developed countries, developing countries lag behind.The lack of adoption of ES in developing countries has been attributed to the design of enterprise systems that have embedded western assumptions about organizational practices that might cause a culture clash when these systems are implemented in developing countries.Moreover, as Huang and argue, the adoption of enterprise systems in developing countries is affected by inadequate IT infrastructure, governmental policies, the small size of companies, lack of IT/ERP experience and top managers, and low IT maturity.
