Control in the field of health protection includes:
- 1) quality and safety control of medical activities; 
- 2) state control (supervision) in the sphere of circulation of medicines, carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation on circulation of medicines; 
- 3) state control over the circulation of medical devices; 
- 4) federal state sanitary and epidemiological supervision carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation on the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population.Powers of the bodies exercising state quality control in the field of health protection:
- 1) issuance of mandatory prescriptions in case of detection of violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of health protection, the legislation of the Russian Federation on the circulation of medicines; 
- 2) bringing to responsibility for violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of health protection, the legislation of the Russian Federation on the circulation of medicines medical organizations and pharmaceutical organizations and their officials, officials of federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, local self-government bodies, state extra-budgetary funds in cases and in accordance with the procedure, which are established by the legislation of the Russian Federation; 
- 3) drawing up protocols on administrative offenses in the field of health protection, circulation of medicines, consider cases of these administrative offenses and take measures to prevent such violations;
- 4) sending materials related to violations of mandatory requirements to the authorized bodies to resolve issues on the initiation of criminal cases on the grounds of crimes; 
- 5) appeal to the court with claims, statements about violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of health protection, the legislation of the Russian Federation on the circulation of medicines; 
- 6) participation in the consideration by the court of cases related to the application and (or) violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of health protection, the legislation of the Russian Federation on the circulation of medicines; 
- 7) posting on the official website on the Internet of decisions and regulations adopted in the process of state control in the field of health protection and affecting the interests of an indefinite circle of persons.
