The play and leisure activities of preteens alter significantly when they cross the threshold from childhood to adolescence.The Preteen Play Profile (PPP) surfaced as a useful tool to help identify these changing preferences and foster their growth.Eight play categories have been created from such activities: sports, outdoor, summer, winter, indoor, creative, social activities, and lessons and classes.It represents 59 play/leisure activity items that are typical of children at this age through pictures.(Henry, 2000).
