The Listeners
The poem tells the story of a Traveller who arrives at an old, quiet house in the middle of the night.He even speaks out loud, asking, "Is there anybody there?" But .no one responds
The setting is very calm and eerie. The moonlight shines, the forest is still, and the Traveller's horse is the only sound. The house appears abandoned, and although no one answers the door, "phantom listeners" ghost-like beings are present inside.The .listeners never reply, and the house stays silent

 The poem explores themes like loneliness, isolation, and the failure of communication.The Traveller is clearly human he acts, speaks, and expects a reply.This makes the Traveller's journey seem hopeless.
