In Cosmorama, Brazil, a boy playing near a river was attacked by a 13-foot anaconda.  His grandfather, hearing the boy's cries, intervened.  A struggle followed between the grandfather and the anaconda, culminating in the grandfather killing the snake with a sword provided by a bystander after a fight, thus saving the boy's life.
