The Niyabat of Tiwi is located on the eastern coast of Oman, where it is bordered to the east by the historic city of Qalhat, to the west by the wilayats of Quriyat, Dimma and Al-Ta'iyin, to the north by the Sea of Oman, and to the south by the state of Wadi Bani Khalid and the Bani Jaber mountain range.
