Some interventional radiological procedures may, in addition to high
equivalent doses to internal organs, also result in such high local skin or eye
lens doses that there is deterministic (acute) radiation damage.Examples of deterministic radiation damage include skin erythema and
temporary epilation, or lens cataracts with visual impairment.
