The teaching skills looked for by Otsted are modihed from time to time io take account
of new DIES polieies. For example, the introduction by the DtES (204b) of the Every
Child Alatters ayenda led to a revision of Ofsted's lesSon observation schedule so that
it was aligned' with those teaching skills which related to this agenda (Cheminais.
