Emission or Reflection of IR Radiation: IR sensors can detect IR radiation emitted by objects (infrared thermometers) or IR radiation reflected off objects (proximity sensors).Infrared radiation is emitted by all objects with a temperature above absolute zero, and its intensity varies with temperature. When IR radiation falls on the detector, it generates an electrical signal proportional to the intensity of the received IR radiation.

Emission or Reflection of IR Radiation: IR sensors can detect IR radiation emitted by objects (infrared thermometers) or IR radiation reflected off objects (proximity sensors). Detection with IR Detector: The IR sensor contains an IR detector, which is sensitive to IR radiation. When IR radiation falls on the detector, it generates an electrical signal proportional to the intensity of the received IR radiation.
Signal Processing: The electrical signal from the IR detector is processed by signal conditioning circuitry. This processing may involve amplification, filtering, and conversion of the signal into a usable form for measurement or control purposes.
Output: The processed signal is then outputted by the IR sensor, often in the form of a voltage level, current, or digital signal. This output can be used for further analysis, control of other devices, or display purposes.
