CHNA entails analysing both quantitative and qualitative data.In order to comply with government regulations, public health departments and nonprofit hospitals must regularly undertake Community Health Need Assessments (CHNAs).In order to provide information for a grant application or strategic plan aimed at reducing local rates of substance use and overdose, a community may also conduct a CHNA focused on a particular subject, such as opioid and substance use disorders

CHNA entails analysing both quantitative and qualitative data. It might be wide-
ranging, looking at the community as a whole, or it can concentrate on a particular
problem. To better understand their community and determine what is most required to
support community thriving, many towns and community organisations frequently
conduct wide community health assessments (CHNAs). In order to comply with
government regulations, public health departments and nonprofit hospitals must
regularly undertake Community Health Need Assessments (CHNAs). The Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA) mandates that tax-exempt hospitals
do CHNAs every three years in collaboration with stakeholders. In order to provide
information for a grant application or strategic plan aimed at reducing local rates of
substance use and overdose, a community may also conduct a CHNA focused on a
particular subject, such as opioid and substance use disorders
