Jerusalem is our land, the capital of our hearts, our right that is stolen every hour, that dazzling story told by grandfathers and grandmothers, we watched it on television, we read it between the lines of old books, Jerusalem is our stories, so what is its story? When I asked him, he told me that he had no story. He said that his name was Muhammad, and that he wanted to become an engineer and build the houses they demolished, but the occupation captured him a long time ago. They took him because he was from the resistance. That's what the old woman told me. Muhammad took me to Abu Riyad's shop. Abu Riad and his shop have been here a long time. Abu Riyad says that he will not leave his land or place as long as he lives. Life here is difficult, he says, but we will stay, as long as the thyme and olives remain. Abu Riad dried thyme, you will not find a better taste anywhere else. A strong storm demolished the room that was here. They did not allow us to rebuild or repair it. The situation has remained the same since then. In winter, rainwater seeps in. His childhood friend Ahmed told me that they wanted to demolish Ahmed's house. He expressed to me his fear that they would do this to his house. He asked me why you take pictures. He said people don't know much about life here. They come to photograph the stones and houses and then they leave. Muhammad asked me about Jerusalem. Jerusalem is his story. He asked me if she was beautiful. He asked me if I had a story. I didn't have time to tell my story to Muhammad. They blocked the road and took him on his way to school. We don't know where they took him, but they took him. I was born in a year of setback. My family always talked about Jerusalem and Palestine. Jerusalem was present in the documentaries that my mother made sure to watch constantly. I was not fond of watching it, but later I began to associate my grandmother’s stories with what I saw in documentaries, from the Battle of Qastal to the heroics of Sheikh Al-Aqsa. I grew up hearing about Jerusalem on the radio and participating in radio competitions dealing with Jerusalem, the city, civilization, and history. Later, I learned a lot in my classroom. The number of people who knew that Al-Aqsa Mosque is everything inside the wall did not exceed ten people. Over the past five years, excellence and creativity have been our motto. We have begun our first steps on a path that we aspire to complete. We tried to move Jerusalem. It is the same for every person who listens to the radio, watches television, or uses the Internet. Our materials varied in content and style, from documentaries about events and heroes to documenting the daily lives of the people of Jerusalem, such as the story of Saber and Abdul Qader Al-Husseini. We hope to become a reliable reference for everyone. Regarding Jerusalem, we aspire to be part of building people’s thoughts and culture about Jerusalem, because we are the story of Jerusalem.
