For this Universal Basic Income (UBI) project, our group has chosen to focus on Finland as the country of interest. We selected Finland for several key reasons:

1. Finland has already conducted real-world UBI pilot programs, providing valuable data to analyze the feasibility and impacts of implementing UBI in a developed, high-income nation with a strong social safety net.

2. As a pioneer in UBI research, Finland offers insights into the political, economic, and social dynamics involved in seriously considering a UBI policy at the national level.

3. Finland's economic profile as a highly developed, technologically-advanced economy allows us to explore UBI's potential role in the future of work and automation.

4. The availability of data and existing research from Finland's UBI experiments enables our group to build upon a solid foundation in our analysis.
