‏The first Mazen bin Ghadouba is considered a great companion. He was one of the people of Oman who converted to Islam, as he converted to Islam in the sixth year of the Hijra through the Messenger of God in Medina.
‏The great companion Mazen bin Ghadouba was a servant of idols in Samail, and one time while he was sitting next to the idols, he heard a voice coming from his idol, so he approached it, and then he said that there is a prophet sent calling people to do good in the Hijaz, so Mazen obeyed the idol and went to Medina, and there he was. He met the Prophet Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - and Mazen told him that he was fond of wine and women, so the Prophet Muhammad - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - prayed for him and taught him the fundamentals of the Islamic religion, so that Mazen returned to his town and began teaching the people Islam and guiding them to the path of goodness.
‏When Mazen bin Ghadouba met the Messenger Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - he asked him to pray for him to stay away from alcohol and immorality, and to pray for the people of Oman for security, chastity and subsistence. He converted to Islam in the sixth year of the Hijra after meeting the Messenger Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - in Medina.

‏There are also many deeds carried out by the great companion Mazen bin Ghadhouba after his conversion to Islam, which are the following:

‏ 1 He built Al-Midmar Mosque in Amman, which is the first mosque built in Amman. It was rebuilt and developed in 1979 AD.
‏ 2 He taught the people of his town the religion of Islam, which he had learned at the hands of the Prophet Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace.

‏There are many stories about the death of the great companion Mazen bin Ghadouba.
