They are both methods of communication. Another similarity is that both methods help one convey their message in a timely and efficient manner regardless of their position. Another similarity is that talking and texting can take up a lot of one's time. In conclusion, texting and calling have both advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I use the one or the other depending on the situation.
