Conclusions
In conclusion, as important plant hormones, gibberellins play an important role in the physiological regulation of fruits after harvest. During fruit storage, the gas can effectively delay the respiratory jump in some fruits and can delay weight loss and fruit decomposition by inhibiting ethylene production, reducing the intensity of respiration, removing free radicals in the body to maintain the integrity of the cell membrane, and delaying the aging of fruit stalks to prevent them from falling off. They can also improve the intrinsic and extrinsic quality of fruit storage by improving fruit shape, regulating color and delaying the reduction of soluble solids. Gas also plays an important role in enhancing post-harvest stress resistance in fruits. This review systematically described the role of gas in the physiological regulation of post-harvest fruits and their current applications, providing a more comprehensive perspective to further enhance the scope of their application in post-harvest fruits and clarifying their use in practice. At the same time, this paper lays a certain foundation for accelerating and improving research on the physiological aspects of gas regulation in post-harvest fruits, and also indicates a certain direction for in-depth research of the mechanism at the molecular level.
