The functionality of the prototype-based long-range communication system involves several key components and processes:

• Sensors installed along roads such as infrared detect the presence of vehicles and collect traffic data, including the number of cars passing through specific locations.- The system may log timestamped data entries, allowing for trend analysis and historical comparisons over time.- Processed traffic data is stored in a database or other storage solution for historical analysis and reporting purposes.

The functionality of the prototype-based long-range communication system involves several key components and processes:

• Sensors installed along roads such as infrared detect the presence of vehicles and collect traffic data, including the number of cars passing through specific locations.

• Two ESP8266 modules, each connected to a set of sensors, gather the collected traffic data and transmit it wirelessly over a long-range communication network.

• The ESP8266 modules are configured to establish a connection to a Wi-Fi network and communicate with each other and with a centralized microcontroller.

• Upon receiving the traffic data, the centralized microcontroller processes it to extract relevant information, such as the number of vehicles passing through each road segment.

• Processed traffic data is stored in a database or other storage solution for historical analysis and reporting purposes.

• The system may log timestamped data entries, allowing for trend analysis and historical comparisons over time.
