Introduction Writing is an important activity and skill that is highly valued in the culture of all societies.It is a fundamental skill in the world this phenomenon, commonly referred to as "poor English writing skills," has significant barriers to personal and professional development, affecting students' academic performance, teacher career prospects, and overall self-confidence. One primary factor contributing to weakness in English writing is a lack of foundational knowledge in grammar, syntax, and vocabulary. Without a solid understanding of these fundamentals, individuals may struggle to convey their ideas effectively on paper. Additionally, limited exposure to diverse writing styles and genres can further hinder the development of writing skills. (al araifi ,2020). Difficulties in teaching English apply to all four skills in general and dictation in particular. Al-Khairy (2019) stated, "Much research conducted in the Palestinian worlds has reported that Palestinian students who are studying in institutions of higher education suffer from serious handicap in the English language" Many consequences could lead to major harm in students' academic performance if they have a weak base in writing Stein (2018).In this research, it was used some strategies in teaching writing to overcome the students' problems in writing descriptive text.Additionally, fostering an environment of freedom and spontaneity in the classroom and instilling confidence in students' souls by emphasizing the value of the English language and the necessity of actual participation in order to break down barriers, as well as working to encourage students to lean toward the language by practicing it in real life (Al-Damour, 2018).The function English language teachers are expected to play in helping students write better in the language according to Arafat (2017) may be summed up as helping them overcome the challenges of learning it by smiling kindly and being patient with the varied things that pupils do. Along with using all of the positive skills, he has acquired; the teacher must also engage the pupils' senses and make use of contemporary educational technologies.An essential skill aims at giving learners the opportunity to develop the proficiency they need.Therefore, it can be said, teaching strategies is way of choosing the methods and technique of teaching in achieving the objectives of the 7 learning.

develop the proficiency they need. It is considered as one of the major
means by which students demonstrate their knowledge and experience. It
provides a powerful mechanism for communication, self-expression and
self-reflection.
Primary students can actively participate in daily life and express
who they are as individuals via writing. Children's learning and reasoning
become permanent and obvious when they write. It gives them the chance
to clarify and improve their ideas for both themselves and other people. It

Moreover, one of the abilities required to succeed in this cutthroat society
is writing. Their future employment prospects may be impacted by their
poor writing skills. As a result, this problem needs to be resolved.
Al-Harithi’s study (2013) came to identify the difficulties and
problems facing primary school students in learning the skill of writing
dictation in the English language from the point of view of English
language teachers and supervisors in Palestine and to link the reasons for

these difficulties are the general weaknesses in the English language
among students. The study sample consisted of 103 teachers and 14
supervisors.
The results of the study showed that the teachers’ assessment of the
problems of writing in the English language was moderate, and the
problems and difficulties of written expression and its organization came
in first place, followed by the problems of written cohesion, then the
problems and difficulties of writing connected sentences and words
ASTIN, A. W. (2016). The opinions of the members of the study sample
attributed these difficulties to being among the reasons for the poor
achievement of secondary school students. In the English language subject,
the results also indicated that there was a statistically significant difference
in the problems of learning to write faced by secondary school students due
to the gender variable in favor of male students.

solutions to solve the problems. In this research, it was used some
strategies in teaching writing to overcome the students’ problems in
writing descriptive text. It is very important in increasing students’
writing ability. Therefore, the students will get better achievement in
writing task. According to Gocer (2010), teaching strategy is
implementing the methods with the techniques and tactics. Furthermore,
teaching strategies related to solve the students’ difficulties in writing
text. Therefore, it can be said, teaching strategies is way of choosing the
methods and technique of teaching in achieving the objectives of the

learning. Therefore, the researcher is interested to investigate the
weaknesses and the solutions of students’ descriptive in writing text.
