The Hassan Fathy Award for Architecture, launched by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Architecture Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture, aims to promote contemporary Egyptian architecture and spread cultural awareness of architecture and its importance in society. It also aims to encourage, honor and appreciate Egyptian architects. The award addresses different themes each year, and the works of the participants are evaluated by a high-level jury, including experts from Egypt and the world.
