On September 13, 1937, British Foreign Secretary Eden presented Britain's policy on the partition plan to the League of Nations and proposed sending a technical committee to draw up a detailed plan for partition. In the face of Arab and Jewish rejection, the implementation of the partition plan was postponed, and British and American efforts to convince the Arabs of this idea were activated again in 1945 through the Joint Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry, and through the Morrison and Bevin projects in 1946 and 1947.
