Prosecutors are prosecuting Ralston's friend Vita Shannon, who was arrested at her home in Denver late Saturday.
For a count of assaults or a count of wrongs for minors both 38, Ralston and Shannon were arrested. Police charge wrong to children in the event of a domestic incident if children are present, however they are not hurt. Shannon claimed not to be guilty of both charges; and a third — troubling the peace — was added at Monday's hearing. Judge Claudia Jordan filed a $550 bail.
Shannon will appear again in court Friday. Up to a year in prison and up to $999 for a fine could be paid if convicted.
In an argument, Ralston told the police that Shannon struck him with her fists twice in the back of the head. Shannon told Ralston police, according to reports, shook her on the shoulder while he left her home. The police noted the baby daughter of the couple was present at the battle.
