Hypothalamus: Located in the brain, the hypothalamus serves as a link between the nervous system and the endocrine system. It produces hormones that stimulate or inhibit the release of hormones from the pituitary gland.

Pituitary gland (hypophysis): Often referred to as the "master gland," the pituitary gland is located at the base of the brain. It produces and releases a variety of hormones that regulate other endocrine glands, as well as growth, metabolism, and reproductive functions.

Thyroid gland: Found in the neck, the thyroid gland produces hormones such as thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), which play a crucial role in regulating metabolism and energy production in the body.

Parathyroid glands: These small glands, usually located on the back of the thyroid gland, produce parathyroid hormone (PTH), which helps regulate calcium and phosphate levels in the blood and bones.

Adrenal glands: Situated on top of each kidney, the adrenal glands produce hormones such as cortisol, which is involved in stress response and metabolism, and adrenaline (epinephrine), which prepares the body for the "fight or flight" response.

Pineal gland: Located in the brain, the pineal gland produces melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles and circadian rhythms.

Thymus: This gland, located in the upper chest, plays a crucial role in the development and maturation of T lymphocytes (T cells), which are essential for the immune system.
