One of the challenges I faced during my studies in the IT major was understanding the Indian accent of some instructors.Most of our professors were from India and spoke English with a strong accent, which made it difficult for me to fully understand the lessons, especially when technical terms were pronounced differently from what I was used to.

However, I challenged myself and worked on improving my listening skills.

However, I challenged myself and worked on improving my listening skills. I started paying more attention during lectures, recording the sessions to review them later, and I wasn’t afraid to ask questions or request clarification when needed. I also watched educational videos with different English accents to train my ear.
Over time, I was able to understand the accent more easily and became more confident in communicating with instructors and classmates. This experience helped me grow academically and strengthened my communication skills in a multicultural environment.
