Assessing patient awareness and preferences enables dental practitioners to tailor treatment plans and enhance patient satisfaction. Identifying the determinants of patient acceptance such as prior experiences, socioeconomic background, and exposure to dental education is essential for improving clinical outcomes and ensuring informed decision-making.
Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the level of awareness and preference among adult patients regarding the use of composite resin restorations and to identify the factors that influence their perception and acceptance of this restorative option.

Methodology:

A. Study Design and Setting:
This cross-sectional, questionnaire-based study was conducted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, across dental clinics in both public and private sectors. The objective was to assess adult patients’ awareness and preferences regarding composite resin restorations. Data collection occurred between July 2025 to December 2025.

B. Participants, Recruitment, and Sampling Procedure:
The study population comprised adult patients aged 18 years and older who visited participating dental clinics during the study period. Participants were selected through a convenience sampling approach, and informed consent was obtained from all respondents prior to their inclusion in the study.
